Oktoberfest 2024

Residents were transported to Germany for a night when Oktoberfest came to Stroud in October 2024! 

Guests arrived dressed in Lederhosen and Dirndls ready to raise a stein and make merry. Bavarian oompah band, the Bierkeller Boys, kept everyone entertained with a lively mix of games and sing-along songs. Grate Catering cooked up a storm over the fire pit with bratwurst, roasted potatoes and of course lots of sauerkraut! Trustees Charlie and Oliver, along with social committee member Tor, did a fantastic job keeping the beer flowing on the bar. A great night was had by all, although we suspect there may have been a few sore heads the next morning! 

This was a fundraising event for the Stroud Village Hall & Resident’s Association charity and raised £370 which will go towards the running costs of the village hall. A big thank you to everyone who supported us and we hope the hangovers weren’t too painful…!
