Book the Hall

Bookings are managed by our Hall Manager, and we aim to make the process as simple as possible. The hall is available for one‑off events as well as regular weekly or monthly bookings, and we welcome enquiries from individuals, community groups, and local businesses.

Booking the Hall

Stroud Village Hall sits in the Hampshire village of Stroud near Petersfield, surrounded by the beautiful South Downs National Park. The building combines a clean, contemporary feel with traditional flint and brick, designed to blend naturally into its rural setting. Inside, the hall is bright and spacious, with high ceilings and large cathedral‑style windows that fill the room with natural light. A fully equipped kitchen and underfloor heating make it comfortable and practical all year round. Doors open directly onto the gardens, where there is space for one or two small marquees, which can also be hired. Tables, chairs, and use of the kitchen are included with your hire.


Booking for Parties and One‑Off Events

The quickest way to book is through our online booking request form. Start by checking the Hall Calendar to see if your preferred date is available. Then complete the form with your chosen date and time to place an immediate provisional booking. Our Hall Manager will review your request and send a confirmation email along with an invoice and payment details. All bookings remain provisional until you receive this confirmation and the security deposit has been paid.


Regular, Full‑Day, or Weekend Hire

We encourage all hirers to read our hire terms and conditions, which include details on access, setup, cleaning, and use of facilities. If you would like to visit the hall before making a booking, we are happy to arrange a viewing.

  • Total capacity — up to 100 people

  • Dimensions — 18m x 8m with ceilings approximately 4m high

  • Seating — 80 comfortable chairs and 14 folding trestle tables available

  • Kitchen — includes fridge, freezer, oven, and hob

  • Parking — space for 13 cars in the rear car park, plus ample on‑street parking; please avoid blocking driveways or access

  • Accessibility — step‑free access throughout and an accessible toilet with baby‑changing facilities

  • Internet — Guest Wi-Fi provided

  • Bouncy castles — permitted, with plenty of space; hirers must ensure the provider has their own insurance, as hall insurance does not cover inflatables

Mon- Fri 8am-6pm

£16 per hour – min 1 hour booking

Mon-Thurs after 6pm

£18 per hour – min 1 hour booking

Friday eve from 6pm-11pm

£20 per hour – min 2 hour booking

Saturday and Sunday 8am-6pm

£25 per hour – min 2 hour booking

Saturday and Sunday 7pm-11pm

£200 per session

Saturday and Sunday 8am-11pm*

£300 for full day

10% discount for local residents (living within Stroud, Ramsdean or Langrish), including commercial bookings.

A security deposit of £100 is required for private bookings payable on receipt of invoice to secure the booking.
