Our annual Christmas Fair took place at the hall on Sunday 1st December 2024.
Local resident Glen Wellstead is both a Trustee and the organiser of the monthly craft club at the hall, and each year takes the lead on organising the Stroud Christmas Fair. Christmas can be an expensive time of year and the aim is to provide an affordable family-friendly event which brings local people together. As an artist and crafter herself, Glen is also keen to provide other local makers and businesses the opportunity to showcase their wares.
This year’s fair included local stallholders, a festive café, and a children’s crafting table. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event, whether as a stallholder, volunteer or a guest. While not the primary aim of the event, the fair raised around £200 for the Stroud Village Hall & Resident’s Association charity which helps with the running costs of the village hall and enables the Trustees to continue organising free community events.
