Book the Hall

Welcome to Stroud Village Hall! 

 

We are located in the Hampshire village of Stroud near Petersfield and set in the beautiful South Downs National Park. Clean and contemporary, the building is finished in flint and brick and designed to fit in with our glorious rural surroundings. The inside space is large and modern with high ceilings and cathedral windows that flood the hall with natural light. There is a fully fitted kitchen, as well as underfloor heating which keeps the hall warm and toasty in the cooler months. The side entrance doors open out on to the pretty gardens with space for one or two small marquees, also available to hire. 

 

Useful information:

• Total capacity – the maximum capacity for the hall is 100 people.
• Dimensions – the hall measures 18m x 8m and the ceilings are approximately 4 metres high. 
• Seating – we have eighty comfortable chairs and fourteen fold out trestle tables available for use.
• Kitchen – facilities include a fridge, freezer, oven and hob. 
• Parking – there is a car park for up to 13 cars to the rear of the hall and plenty of on road parking nearby. We just ask that customers are considerate to our neighbours and avoid blocking or obstructing driveways and access. 
• Accessibility – the hall is fully accessible with step free access and there is an accessible loo with baby change. 
• Music – we have a Bluetooth operated speaker for use at parties or classes. There is also guest WIFI available. Any music or entertainment must be switched off at 11pm out of courtesy for our neighbours. 
• Bouncy Castles – we have lots of children’s parties at the hall and there is plenty of space for a bouncy castle. Please be aware that the Hall insurance doesn’t cover the use of bouncy castles or other inflatables so do ensure that the provider has their own insurance cover. 

Getting here:

• The hall is located less than a five minute drive from the A3 at Petersfield. Turn on to Ramsdean Road (next to the Seven Stars pub) and take the first left on to Stroudfields.
• The closest train station is Petersfield and there are usually plenty of taxis available outside the station. 
• The closest bus stop is next to the Seven Stars pub and is less than a five minute walk to the hall.

For one-off hire for parties and other events, the quickest way to book is using our online booking request form below. First check the Hall Calendar for our current availability. Next complete the form below with your date and time to make an immediate provisional booking. This will then be reviewed by our Hall Manager who will send a confirmation email and invoice with payment details. Please be advised that all bookings should be considered provisional until you have received a confirmation email from the Hall Manager and paid the security deposit.
