Thank you to everyone in the community that came out to participate in the Stroud Village Hall Easter Egg Hunt! What an amazing day it was with the sun shining and laughing happy children running all about the place. The children and parents joined together to search out the clues hidden around the estate and were well rewarded with a chocolate egg and picnic lunch at the very end. While the children played games, did Easter themed crafts and played games such as Giant Jenga, Giant Connect4 and the Egg & Spoon race (using tempting Cadbury Cream Eggs), the adults were able to enjoy a drink and catch-up with the neighbours. We really enjoyed seeing you at this event and hope to see you at the Jubilee party that we are planning for June! Please have a look at our What’s On page on the website or follow us on Facebook!

Thank you to all of the members of the community that joined us at our Open House. What great participation we had at the free Yoga, Pilates and Fitness demonstrations. Many people joined these sessions and there were many smiles during and after each one. There was scrumptious food including jacket potatoes, cakes and biscuits to savour along with teas, coffees and juices while having a chat with some of the neighbours.
Many of the children participated in crafts, face glitter and nail painting… and what a surprise they had when LuLu the bunny showed up for a visit! We look forward to our next get together with you, please see our What’s On page on the website or follow us on Facebook!

The trustees of Stroud Village Hall and Residents Association are delighted to welcome Jade Poulter as our new Hall Manager following her appointment in early November, and a few words follow from her.
“Hello everyone, my name is Jade. Some of you may know me from doing my weekly exercise class here at the Village Hall. If you would like to come and visit me, drop me an email or feel free to pop in and say hello. I am looking forward to getting to know the community.
We are still busy with classes and parties, please check our social media page and this website to keep updated as we have got lots of exciting things going forward as we are approaching Christmas time!
The social committee organised a fabulous, fun packed Halloween party which was a great success. It’s that time of year when Christmas is coming; don’t forget to save the date for the Christmas quiz on Friday the 10th December.
Feel free to suggest new ideas for our Village Hall going forwards. For all bookings and enquiries for the Village Hall please contact Jade at [email protected] “
In the meantime, we would like to thank all our users and hirers for bearing with us whilst some long-delayed remedial work has been carried out by the builders after what became a long, drawn out saga. Even when the work started there were further delays causing it to over-run into November. Whilst it is still not complete we hope that any further disruption will only be minor.
Please accept the trustees’ apologies for any inconvenience suffered and we are sure you will notice a difference when you next use the hall, especially from the new acoustics.
Jeremy Mitchell, Trustee.
